Hello! Ciao! Mambo? How are you doing today? I hope that with whatever is going on in your life, you can take a moment to breathe in deeply & exhale out some of that daily tension & stress. 🤗
Last month we were contacted about our ODDS program by a school in Jacksonville, Florida (see our programs page for more info on ODDS.) What is super cool about that, is that we were referred to this school by the people at their other campus!
Word-of-mouth business feels really rewarding and special, in my book! 🙏🏽
So it is, that with our young apprentices we drove to Jax-ville and headed to the Whitehurst Campus of the Bolles School.
Kindergartners & first graders, 2nd & 3rd graders, as well as the 4th & 5th graders joined us at different times under the shade of beautiful, big trees (I always pretend they’re baobab trees 😄)
We covered topics like long-distance communication and what tools different people groups use; our scientific one-family connection; how to say certain words in Italian and Kiswahili; mythical stories from different traditions; and more.
The kids were so cool! They offered words they knew in German, Spanish, Italian, and Farsi. They also had some outstanding Fortnite (game) moves!
