“My first-grade class was lucky enough to get an up close and personal performance from Sophia and Don of Barefoot Baobab. They put the “Boom” in “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom” by using a Djembe drum during a read aloud. Traditional folk tales also made their way into the performance, along with some fantastic freestyling by Don.
